We will be celebrating Thanksgiving in about three weeks. This is an opportunity for us to take some time and think of all the people and things we are thankful for. As your Librarian, I am thankful that each day I get to help kids discover the joy of reading. My favorite part of my job is to match kids with books and then find out how they liked the book. If you read a book you especially liked, please let me know so I can share it with another child searching for a good read. You will get a special prize for letting me know! We are blessed with a super library within our community and I am very grateful to be a part of it.
I would like to personally invite you and your family to attend our Family Read Night on Thursday, November 21. Members from the Peoria Ballet will be here at 6:00 p.m. to read The Nutcracker and give us a preview of the dances they will be performing at the Peoria Civic Center Theater in December. It will be an enchanting evening so bring your friends and join us.
Have a great November and remember to tell your family how thankful you are for them.
