Morton Public Library District – Internet User Agreement

Welcome to the Morton Public Library.

This Internet service is one of a range of services the library provides.
If you need assistance, please ask the librarian at the Help Desk.

If you are not familiar with computers or the internet, you may make an appointment with the librarian for an introductory lesson.

Internet computers may only be used for legal purposes.
Unacceptable uses include, but are not limited to: hacking, fraud, accessing illegal or inappropriate sites such as pornography, obscenity (as defined by local standards), harassment of others, damage to equipment, software or data belonging to the library or others, altering library software or hardware.

Inappropriate usage will result in suspending user privileges.
First time: warning
Second time: no computer use for one week
Third time: no computer use for one month

Time Limits: Users are allowed at least sixty (60) minutes per day within library hours. If computers are available, users may stay longer. If all computers are in use and a person is waiting for a computer, the longest session will be terminated.

Children: Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the use of library resources, including computers, by minors. Filters provide only limited protection.
