September 1-14: Reading Fortune Tellers – Don’t know what to read next? Come pick up one of our Library Book Fortune Tellers to help you decide.

September 15-30: Corner & Magnetic Map Bookmarks – Need a bookmark? Try making one of your own. Instructions and supplies provided.

October 2-14: What’s your favorite book? - Tell us (anonymously) what your favorite book is and something you like about it. Just fill out the slip of paper, put it into the container and we’ll do a “Teen Picks” display next month. 

October 12, 3:00-4:00pm: Color by Design - Meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Use markers or colored pencils to fill in intricate coloring pages while enjoying snacks and conversation. All supplies and snacks will be provided. Grades: 5-8. REGISTER HERE.  

October 19, 3:30-4:30pm: Chapter Chatters Tween Book Club. Discussing Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt – The Tuck family has a big secret. When a girl name Winnie Foster stumbles upon it, they must convince her of how important it is to tell no one what she has learned. Copies available at the library. Ages: 9-12.

October 16-31: Halloween Origami – Paper and instructions will be available to make origami bats and pumpkins.

Search for the Zombie! When you find it, tell the Help Desk staff and get a piece of candy.

November 1-14: Book Title Scavenger Hunt – Grab a Scavenger Hunt page and look through the Young Adult books to fill it out. When you’re done, fold your page and put it in the box to enter our drawing for a prize.

November 16, 3:30-4:30pm: Chapter Chatters Tween Book Club

November 15-30: What book are you thankful for? – Write the title of the book on a post-it note and stick in on the board. 

December 1-14: Finger knitting – Need a break to do something creative? Yarn and instructions will be available for finger knitting projects. 

December 21, 3:30-4:30pm: Chapter Chatters Tween Book Club

December 15-29: Book Page Snowflakes – Make paper snowflakes out of book pages. Book pages and instructions will be provided. Feel free to make your own design!
