Support Your Library
Morton Community Foundation
The Morton Community Foundation holds two funds that benefits the library. Donations can be made to either fund.
The Morton Public Library Fund supports the library’s mission to actively connect people to books, resources and technology and provide opportunities for learning, collaboration and enjoyment.
The Summer Reading Fund provides funds to support the library’s annual summer reading program, including our popular Friday programs. The Summer Reading Fund was started through the Bernice L. Oberlander/Lynn R. Walters Library Summer Reading Endowment fund, a component fund of the Morton Community Foundation.
Memorials
The Morton Public Library is always honored when community members think of us to memorialize loved ones. You may honor a loved one with monetary contributions to be used to purchase books or other materials that your loved one would have enjoyed. The library puts nameplates in these books, honoring the person who has passed away. Patrons also sometimes make monetary donations – big or small – in remembrance of a loved one. We are happy to work with you to find the best way to honor the memory of your loved one.
Monetary Donations
The Morton Public Library appreciates monetary donations of any size. If you would like to make a monetary donation to the library, please make checks payable to the “Morton Public Library” and either mail them to us or bring them to the Check Out Desk.
If there is a specific item or type of item that you would like your donation to go towards, please don’t be shy! We’re happy to work with you. We will also happily provide a letter for tax purposes.
